Empower Your Child Today

Not every child has access to quality, culturally relevant therapy. Together, let’s change that.

The therapy sessions are engaging. My BCBA makes sure I understand what is happening with my child and why. She is very knowledgeable about ABA therapy and she works great with my child and makes sure I’m a part of the treatment.

About Signature Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

We invest in the whole family's right to self-determination by providing meaningful, individualized, and culturally relevant behavioral services. We affirm children, teens, and young adults who exhibit social, emotional, learning, and behavioral concerns using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) with a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. We not only uplift the children and teens we service through ABA, but empower parents and siblings of our disabled and/or neurodivergent clients with the common goal of enhancing the quality of life for the entire household through the provision of mental health services, parent guidance, advocacy tools, and group sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

We provide high-quality ABA therapy, Parent Training, Mental Health counseling, and Peer groups.

Behavior Analysis is a scientific approach to understanding the behavior of individuals. We use this information to develop techniques and interventions to change specific socially significant behaviors over time and validate it through the evaluation of our interventions. Behavior Analysis takes a clear stance of using data and science to make assumptions about the functions(what continues our behaviors over time). We use proven interventions that can be validated and replicated.

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is proven to be effective in many sectors, however, it has received a lot of validation from therapeutic approaches tailored for individuals diagnosed with Autism. Behavior analysis has also been used in other areas such as behavioral health, brain injury rehabilitation and training, criminal justice, environmental health, mental health, parent training, physical health, organizational and business management, occupational safety, substance abuse treatment, dementia management, and occupational safety intervention. The principles extend to all areas of human interaction, though it has not evolved into every sector yet.

A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) designs and directly oversees programming that is individualized for each person we serve. We recognize that each person and each environment works differently, therefore we adapt strategies to fit the needs of each unique person at different periods of time.

The ABA program is tailored for each person’s skills, needs, interests, cultural and individual preferences, and home environment. The goal of any ABA program is to help each person increase skills to become more independent and successful in the short term as well as in the future.

There is a wide range of skills that include but are not limited to:

Language and Communication Skills Functional Living/Self Care Skills Play Skills Social Skills Imitation Skills Gross/Fine Motor Skills Replacing Challenging Behavior with Functional Skills Emotional Regulation Challenges Self Management Coping Skills Receptive Skills Visual/Perceptual Skills

ABA is considered a gold standard evidence-based best practice treatment by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association. “Evidence-based” means that ABA has passed scientific tests of its usefulness, quality, and effectiveness. Empirical studies show gains in intellectual functioning, language development, daily living skills, and social functioning.

No. Though ABA is the gold standard treatment for people diagnosed with autism, it can be used with anyone, with or without a diagnosis! Other areas ABA is often used include Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD/ADHD), Anxiety Disorders, Communication Disorders, and Social Delays, Emotional and Behavioral Concerns, Intellectual Disability, and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). Lastly, Behavior Analysis is rooted in all living beings, therefore our science is also useful for those without a diagnosis.

Trauma-informed care takes a wider range of factors into consideration when addressing a person's behavior. We are trained to understand Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), which exist beyond the immediate moment, and may impact how an individual responds to certain events. This form of care for your child not only ensures a child's past trauma is taken into account, but that our approaches aim to reduce the likelihood of additional harm occurring.

Absolutely. Your mental health matters and it should never be compromised. Whether you're a parent, sibling, or caretaker, our counselors are here to support the entire family unit.
